From the looks of Adrian's filmography and the way his career has progressed, it's a fair assumption that his "big time" career will end with the closing of "Entourage".
Possible. But then again he wasn't a star in any way before Entourage. He was just another actor that you'd probably see at cattle calls. This could be just the beginning of his "Big Time" career if he has a decent agent and he has some talent behind those baby blues that he hasn't shown on Entourage.
I personally think they should just keep the show going. I mean, why not?
Because it sucks now and its fan base is shrinking by the season/episode. It used to be about story with frills thrown in, now it's all about frill. "Vince is bangin' Sasha Gray.", 6 episode story arch...really? In season one that would have lasted for 12 minutes. That's not a story, that's an excuse to keep going throughout the season. Mrs. Ari bitching at Ari about missing Her blah blah blah or missing his Sons/Daughters blah blah blah, and walking out in the pre-sex ritual. I was so glad when she finally left.
But anyway, there are more premium shows (new shows) that are ready to air in it's time slot to gain back that audience that has been dropping out. Pretty much what happened to The West Wing, great show, it just got stale.
But my point is just how odd it is, that this good looking guy, who can act (okay, he's no Daniel Day-Lewis), but he should certainly be getting roles in movies like "Fast and the Furious" who some kind of popcorn crap like that. If Paul Walker and Vin Diesel can got those roles, why can't Adrian Grenier?
The character Ari Gold answered that question in the first season I believe. Because they're movie stars. They have the look, the attitude, and the talent (to handle being a movie star and not mess it up - not necessarily the talent of acting) to be a movie star. Personally I won't go see a movie if Adrian Grenier is the lead. He doesn't look like one or act like one...he looks and sounds like a puss in his day to day, in every interview that I have ever seen him in.
The role he had in Devil Wears Prada, perfect for him, want to know why? Because I can't remember him in it. Not saying it as a bad thing either, there are actors out there who do that every day, they show up...they make you laugh, they make you smile, cry...whatever....the scene cuts, and you completely forget about them. They move the story forward. Some of them are the best actors in the business, they're just not movie stars.
That paparazzi movie that he made. I watched it because of the kid...Grenier was just there. Every time he started talking about his career I wanted to fast forward, I could have given a crap...he merely moved the story along to the kids next sequence about his day to day because that was more interesting.
There's a mad man in there with his hand on a...on a BUTTON!
