You people need to calm down

I have been a fan of Cruz since the very beginning of her career in the United States and let me just say that we all here enjoy the right to freedom of speech which is what Penelope was doing. Now you may not agree with what she did, but it's an OPINION folks. People are entitled to their opinions and the backlash she has received from Hollywood is unnecessary. We don't live in the 1960's anymore and by blacklisting somebody for their opinions, that's just wrong. No matter what, I will always be a fan of Penelope Cruz because she has so much talent and raw beauty. Just look at what she was able to accomplish in her career: Bandidas, Elegy, Twice Born, Blow, Nine, Vicky Cristina Barcelona, Don't Move, Volver, and countless more. I'd love to see somebody like Angelina Jolie put a candle to that, oh that's right she can't. Angelina Jolie basically slept with another woman's boyfriend and Hollywood applauded her for it yet when somebody like Cruz opens up with her opinion (which she has won the right to) they cast her out like a dog in the street. Double standards??

The war between Israel and Gaza is now over, for how long is the real question but I think somebody like Penelope Cruz was only trying to say she feels for the families going through that terrible ordeal in Gaza, that's all. It's no coincidence she did a movie earlier last year called Twice Born which talks about the genocide that occurred in Bosnia and all of a sudden she speaks out against it. She's a strong willed woman who fears nothing and I admire her for that.

So in closing, I would just like to say that Cruz's career is still intact in Hollywood only because we watch movies of hers for her talent not her opinions and in the end; that's what matters most.
