He Should Play John(ny) Lydon(Rotten)!!!!

Gathering someone teaches him the right British accent...and to sing Punk. But, don't ya think? Just get him oober skinny, cuz his hair short and bleach blonde.

Then make a more ACCURATE movie than...oh say...Sid and Nancy.

Maybe even go through to the PiL years.

I could definitely see it. And it's not one of those in-your-face resemblances, but enough to where it would be shocking actually seeing him made up like Lydon.

Funny side-story: My ex-wife and her first husband used to work concert security. She told me about all the people she'd met (Steve Winwood, Willie Nelson, etc.) at a particular festival. Then she mentioned she had lunch with "the singer from that band Public Image Limited. Johnny, I think his name was." I laughed at this and said, "You had lunch with Johnny freakin Rotten?"
She tried to correct me, because she honestly had no idea they were one and the same. He apparently wanted to take her to lunch because she was one of the only people there who didn't realize who he was or his Sex Pistols connection. She said he was funny as hell and extremely polite.
Kinda hard to believe when you see the act he puts on in interviews.

WOW, lucky to say the least.

I'm not so surprised at his politeness. It seems as though his aggressiveness is, more or less, provoked but triggered by choice. It goes to say that he's smart enough to play a public persona then then be himself.

If you've seen the Sex Pistol's doc, The Filth And The Fury, you'll notice especially when he talks about Sid's death, a very different and vulnerable man.

Then you see that footage where Pil does one of their first public appearances and he tells the jackass interviewer to *beep* off in so many ways before walking off the set.

I'm still in awe about your story though! Lunch with Johnny Rotten. Rare and *beep* amazing!
