Find it really funny that people find him handsome!?

First off let me get something straight, most people don't hate Adrien Brody, I'm pretty sure that don't give a damn about him most of the time but the fact is most of us sane people think that he kind weird looking and I don't want to sound cruel but a tab on the ugly side especially with that nose! Now I can understand them saying that he is interesting looking and unconventional but I don't think some people on know there is a differents between what they find sexy or whats they find beautiful?

Now with me I use to get friends making fun of me because I had a major crush on Rosie Perez with them saying that she was a butterface and that she looks like a chimp! now I wasn't that blind that I couldn't see she wasn't the greatest looking girl in the world but I found her sexy and sassy and had more sex appeal than any supermodel. So please don't call it hate for Brody when they put him down, maybe apart from MIDNIGHT IN PARIS it's because he hasn't done a good film since he won the Oscar and cause he looks so smug in that awful ad.

I get what you mean. But eh, its weird. He's the male version of what the French consider "jolie-laide" (ugly-pretty).

Anyhow, I don't believe his "haters" are envious of him for being hot. They just honestly don't get the appeal of this skinny guy with a smug attitude and a huge nose. He's just not their cup of tea. Which is fine, I'm not going to police anyone for having a differing opinion. Although many people on imdb.com do and my word do they love accusing others of jealousy.

As for his roles, I can't really fault him.For Brody to even get this far, is a feat within itself. As there are many talented and beautiful people in Hollywood, who will never make far enough to be called a "has been." You see, entertainment is a hard medium. It's a career where nothing is permanent, job security is always uncertain, experience doesn't matter, and luck has more to do with success than talent. Brody is a great actor; his performances are very subtle and controlled. However, Hollywood movies aren't cast by an actor's acting ability but by their "marketability" or their relationship with the Studio Boss.

Otherwise, please explain why George "All My Solo Movies Flop But Yet I Still Keep Working" Clooney is considered a huge A-list star. Sure he's handsome but his type of pretty doesn't pay the bills. I believe the Ocean 11 movies were his only box office hits and that was an ensemble film. If anything he's living proof that Hollywood isn't driven by talent or outright greed but by nepotism.

Nah, Brody is truly one ugly *beep*

Clooney keeps getting work because for one, he's actually a pretty damn good actor (he's like a throwback to an old school A-list movie star) he always seems to play in some really good (and challenging/thoughtful) socially conscious movies, even if they aren't hits, like MICHAEL CLAYTON (one of my favorite movies with him in it) THE MEN WHO STARE AT GOATS,THE IDES OF MARCH, and THE AMERICAN. Plus he's also a producer, which pretty much ensures he'll be in the biz 'til he retires. He also kicked a** in THREE KINGS,which was a hit, and he's never been what you call a "pretty boy", anyway. He's still handsome in a rough, rugged old-school way, though, and I don't mind seeing anything he's in, because it's usually been worth watching so far.

People keep tripping about Brody's nose---I recall French actor Gerard Depardieu had an even bigger nose, but that didn't stop him from being a major box-office draw on both sides of the Atlantic some 30 years ago. Plus, I don't think he's ever got it redone, either. The thing with Brody is that he simply dosen't fit the American definition of attractiveness---he fits the European definition of attractiveness much more closely. That's why some folks are like,"Damn, he's ugly!" in the U.S., while in Europe, he's probably considered all that and a bag of chips because his looks (and nose) are more the norm there. I've watched European flicks for years,so maybe that's why he looks normal (and kinda cute) to me. I ain't tripping over his nose, either. Plus, I like me some dark-haired Polish (or in his case, half-Polish) actors, anyway. Agreed with everything else you said though--you really nailed it about an actor's market value---except about the experience part.

Good points. I like the idea of unconventional Hollywood types getting a chance. How many movies can you stand where everyone looks like toothpaste models. However, I wish it was anyone besides Brody, cause he comes off as a real pric* and I just can't watch any more movies with him cast.

My sister has a crush on him and i am straight i would say Adrien is good looking he is not Tatum,Pattinson or Gosling he still good looking. Yeah there are people who don't find him attractive and there plenty of people who do that means they have a different opinion

I have never understood the appeal of George Clooney, even in his younger days on ER.

But I think Adrien is very appealing....there's just something about him. He does have a European look; I wish his role in Grand Budapest was bigger.

I always had a huge crush on him since I saw him in The Pianist.

Thank you! I almost threw a party when George Clooney left ER! I just don't get it.

Adrien Brody is hot in a unique way, imo, but I have refined taste.
