She looks very different to me starting in season 3 (I'm watching on netflix currently). what is it? Cosmetic surgery? different hair? She seemed naturally cute on the first two seasons, but looks, for lack of a better word, "plastic" in season 3

shareJust watched seasons 3 and 4 and thought the same, it didn't suit the original more timid character of Rita at all. Rita seemed like a completely new character in seasons 3/4.

shareI've been "marathon" watching it and noticed IMMEDIATELY the "big" change in her from Season 2 to 3. Right in the beginning of the first episode, when she and Dex are in bed, I noticed right away her boobs were much bigger. So I Googled it and sure as hell, implants.

Because her character is flat out controlling and demanding from season 2 on. Showing up at the station with the child in the stroller, telling him "Whatever you're doing is not as important so come home now" without asking what it actually IS that he's doing as part of a murder investigation at a police station?
Maybe it was just the writing but I think it's coincidental that once she has a big rack she turns into the wife from hell... I was glad to see her character go. She got on my dang nerves from season 2 on.... love Julie Benz though, I just mean the Rita character.
I've noticed that too. In Season 1, she had tiny boobs. Probably when she realized the show was becoming a success, she knew she could afford the surgery.
