So what happened?

I know she had a really close, uh, friendship with Maria Sharapova. They were photographed everywhere together. Camilla would go see Maria's tennis matches, Camilla took Maria to the 10,000 B.C. movie premier. They shared a house in Wimbledon where Maria was playing. They were attached at the hip. They even went on holiday together. The pictures of them together on holiday were even posted on their website, can't remember if it was Maria's or Camilla's website. Then all of a sudden, they were taken down. No explanation. Then too their, uh, friendship went kaput. They were no longer seen together, as if nothing happened. As if they never knew each other to begin with. What happened? What was the true nature of their relationship?

Maria Sharapova is rumored to be a lesbian, maybe she wanted more than friendship from Camilla and Camilla wasn't interested?

It can still be embarrassing, not everyone accepts it even in 2014, she might be worried about receiving weird responses or looks in public from people who think that lesbians have be masculine looking and they'd be made uncomfortable by Camilla not fitting into their preconceived notions about what a lesbian looks like.
