I can see that. Just saw Yoga Hosers and he rambled for like 30 minutes explaining the movie. Every other word was a swear word like he was a 12 year old who just learned about swearing. One thing that really stuck out to me and might be the explanation for why his films have been so bad lately was that he said the idea for Tusk was conceived on his podcast and in less than 6 months they were on set filming it. 4 months for Yoga Hosers. He's taking no time to actually sit and develop these stories. He's just smoking weed and one-drafting it.

As for his fans, that's the absolute worst. At the screening I went to, his fans were pretty gross. Major BO, all had large popcorn buckets, large drinks, candy and were overweight. Then every time Kevin would open his mouth they would all cackle. I guess it's good he's built a brand and has a really dedicated following that would waste their money on a terrible film like Yoga Hosers. They're as shamelessly dedicated and cringeworthy as Odd Future fans...but overweight and smelly with no actual standards.

I agree and side with the OP. The only good Kevin Smith films in my opinion are Clerk and Chasing Amy.

His movies used to be great but he's lost his mogo over the last decade sadly.

Kevin has become a terrible, one-note joke that only stoners laugh at. He's f-cking clown shoes.

Tusk is a let down, but it's so damn bizarre and original.

Yoga hosers could have been better - the girls are the saving grace of the film, but other then that it' terrible, severely underdeveloped and undercooked.

I am a giant Jaws fan (look at my name) so i have hopes for moose Jaws and a the brief portion a script reading i saw was hysterical and it will feature jay and silet bob.

I will see clerks 3, when he finally makes it ( which may not be entirely his fault, supposedly jeff anderson is holding out)

But his view askew stuff has always been his best.

and the guy is clever, but it doesn't seem like he tries.
