My grandmother just told me who her mother was, to be honest I have never heard of janye mansfield. But I found pictures of her and she does look like her mom, They are both very pretty women. I am sorry that she didnt get to grow up with her though.
shareyeah she does! when I watch Law And Order: SVU", and certain facial expressions she makes are identical to her mom. Jayne Mansfield is before my time (age 33), I'm glad Mariska chose to become an actor: she's made her own legacy. I agree that it's a bummer that her mom couldn't see her shine as she does; her father did though:-)
shareIf you put a side by side picture of Jayne next to hers their facial features are identical. Same shaped face, nose and mouth. Other than the different styles of the era and Jayne's bleach job I think they look almost like twins.
I wish Jayne had let her hair go dark in the 60's her career may have gone a different way.
I agree- Mariska does look a lot like her mother. Both were/are beautiful women.

I didn't think so until I watched the Emmy's last night. She looked just like her! Same figure, same face! Everything.
shareShe does look a lot like her & I'm sure even more so if you can find a picture of her mom with her naturally dark hair. I do think Mariska's older half sister looks even more like their mom, though.
shareJayne did have a phase of dark hair in the early 60's but I don't think she could really let go of the Blonde Bombshell glamour she had built her career on. They are very alike though, especially around the eyes and mouth.
