Anyone watch the TV show Monk? Melora plays Trudy Monk from time to time. I started watching that series during the writer's strike and was surprised to see her there. It is a very different role from The Office and it was nice to see her in a different way. She's a very talented actress.

I'm a fan of both Monk and The Office(UK&US) and I have noticed it but I was'nt 100% sure until I saw pictures of her on Monk's wall in tonights episode.
Mr. Treehorn, I didn't make the connection until tonight, the same exact way you did -- the pictures on the wall.
I've seen her as Trudy from the beginning on Monk and never realized it was her when she turned up as Jan on The Office.
She's very beautiful on Monk and kind of skanky on The Office.
I guess she photographs differently in the dream sequences on Monk than she does straight on like on The Office.

I only recently started watching The Office. I'm kinda disturbed now when I see Jan and think of Trudy. I hope Mr. Monk doesn't watch The Office! He'd really flip out! :)
The people you idolize wouldn't like you.
First time I ever actually noticed "Melora" was in The Office, where I seem to have gradually fallen in love with her a bit. She's just "my type", I guess.
Weird thing is, I'm a huge fan of Monk, and on the rare occasions when Trudy was in an episode, I always thought she was fairly attractive, but somehow that "actress" just didn't fully register with me. Maybe it was because she was Monk's dead wife or something, I don't know. It took the sustained and close-up exposure she often got in The Office to make me realize just how great a package she is. Terrific actress, drop-dead gorgeous sex-pot, and in the personal interviews I have seen with her, she seems totally cool and really smart, too. Quite the total package.
