Not as hot as the original Tammy on Amazon's Transparent
For those not in the know, Melora Hardin didn't play Tammy in the original pilot of Amazon Prime's new series Transparent.
Amazon produced one episode of Transparent called a "pilot episode" and it debuted on Amazon Prime on February 6, 2014. It was free to watch and that original first episode was very popular. Based on the ecstatic response to that original pilot, Amazon picked up the show for a whole 10-episode season. Unfortunately, 4 of the cast members from the original pilot couldn't return to film the rest of the season and had to be recast. So, Amazon hired new actors and decided to remake the original first episode so that the cast would be consistent with the rest of the season. The new pilot and the next 9 episodes debuted on August 27, 2014. New cast and all.

The most prominent recasting was the role of Tammy, the lesbian ex-girlfriend. She was originally played by actress Gillian Vigman (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0897005/) and she was way hotter! She had long blonde hair, a very sexy pair of glasses, wore regular women's clothes, perfect figure, seductive body language, and she's 5 years younger than Melora. She also played hard-to-get in the original pilot-- the Sarah character really had to work to seduce her, which made the scene 10X sexier. She was a lesbian with lipstick.
But when she was recast with Melora, they really butched her up. They gave her that damn dyke haircut and made her wear more masculine clothing. They made her character more affable and willing and thus the new make out scene really fell flat by comparison.

So disappointing she got knocked up and had to leave the show.
