Layla?
shareNo. I've heard the album briefly but don't remember any.
shareYou haven't heard the song "Layla"? The "Goodfellas" pink caddy scene?
shareI love Layla.
You look wonderful tonight is touching.
Then, I found out he used to get drunk and beat the shit out of the girl the songs are about.
Hard to listen to now.
He used to shoot heroin as well.
shareYeah and kid fell out the window.
That's sounds like some druggie shit to me.
Actually I believe he was clean at that time. It was the cleaning lady that had opened the window to clean it. There is now an ordinance that makes it code for windows above a certain floor to be un-openable.
shareI don't know what the real story is because they certainly would lie if they were laying there out of their minds and the kid fell. That or they just didn't care about the kid because he was a product of their bullshit.
They aren't going to say that.
At the risk of sounding snappy, I suggest you research before you slander a person.

Hello old friend
It's just a perfect song to listen to while hangingout on a boat and having a beer with some friends
I loved Hungry from the same album. A lot more energetic, and the same singers and players.
Yes, I love Hello Old Friend, but I liked the rock of Hungry, and it was buried at the end of the album.
Don't forget his guest appearance on Phil Collins's "I Wish It Would Rain Down"!
