His best french films?

Hello

Im always intrested in seeing 'foreign' actors performing roles in their natvie language I often end up liking them more then their 'hollywood' movies, maybe thats just because hollywood tends to typecast any actor with a an accent and they seem less intresting.

I've seen Irreversible after a friend mentioned it to me...I kind of wish i'd ignored them a bit and not watched a lot of it...you know what i mean right?! Not the worlds most pleasent movie to sit down and watch. But more enjoyable then anything with 'Twilight' in the title.

So yeah what ones would you suggest i check out?

Some friends of mine love "Wicker Park" (Starring Josh Harnett) but it's actually a remake of one of Vincent's films "Le Apartment" which is great. Try watching it.

Honestly, I adore Vincent Cassel but I dislike most of the films he's in. He plays great all the time though but, except from "La Haine" and "Irreversible", I didn't like the others much. On the other hand, he may not work with directors that I like, but he's always where you wouldn't expect him...and that's one of the reasons why I adore him still personally. He does different things all the time, challenges himself, would rather do things with young directors full of rebellion, who want to do different things, than with the "mammoths" of our cultural history.

So, whatever movie you'll watch him in will most certainly be very different from the last one.

"La Haine" is really part of our classics here now, so, just like the previous posters, I'd recommand that one absolutely. :)

Lem! Lem, I'm sorry! But I had to, right?!
