That should be “one of THE pioneers,” partner. Without the Chuck Berry changedown, we’d have no garage bands. The man was a genius and IS a legend.

The best scene in Back To The Future is McFly giving a preview of Chuck Berry. The crowd exploded, because Berry’s style was so immediately accessible and visceral.
