Reports are coming in that Max von Sydow has died aged 90... if true, R.I.P. to a great, glorious actor.

EDIT yes, it’s sadly true...

R.I.P. Max von Sydow, a legendary actor.

We all want these elderly gentlemen to live forever, 90 is a fantastic age and we should celebrate Max's career. Looking through his filmography I can see a lot of interesting work and I still haven't seen The Seventh Seal.

Then you have a lot to look forward to! Have you seen any of his Bergman work? The Seventh Seal is a brilliant and iconic film, but he is arguably even better in The Virgin Spring, Shame and Hour of the Wolf.

Yes, 90 is a great age to make it to, and he remained active pretty much to the end.

He is hobbling a bit today though.

Y’know, he was never really a BIG name, but he was always a loved and respected name. It doesn’t get much more impressive than that.

I literally only just found out today that he died some 4 months ago. I can't believe how so many great actors/actresses seem to pass away almost unnoticed and unreported by media today. It makes me sad. Anyway a great actor has passed. RIP Max von Sydow
