Career resurgence thanks to Lee Daniels's The Butler

For the past few years, Forest Whitaker appeared in direct to video dreck like Freelancers and Pawn.

With Lee Daniels's The Butler, thanks to Forest's critically acclaimed performance, he has enjoyed a bit of a career resurgence.

All it takes is one movie... can Cuba Gooding, Jr. capture some of that magic?

I'm very much looking forward to his new film, "Two Men in Town", starring Whitaker and the great Harvey Keitel. That one sounds very interesting.

I hope it gets decent US distribution.

Agreed, I hope so. It worked for Mickey Rourke & Robert Downey Jr, it could work for Cuba too. Both he and Cuba were excellent in The Butler. 

All his career he as swerved into good films and bad but his performances never vary. He's talented and so underrated.

He was so good in that film Denzel Washington directed back in 2007. I wish he got more lead roles.

Can't wait to see him in SOUTHPAW with Jake Gyllenhaal.
