Very sad to hear of Carl's passing.

Many excellent memories of his acting but some of my personal highlights were:-

Rocky II:- When he read and then chucks some hate mail

Predator:- "Dylan you son of a bitch". Some of the greatest homoeroticism committed to film until Rocky III's infamous beach little shorts scene...

Arrested Development:- Shows us a humourous and self deprecating side by playing a hobo-ish version of himself and coming up with the "You Got Yourself a Stew Going!" catchphrase.

Mandalorian:- Just when you thought he had nothing else to give, he proves himself to be the superior actor to Jack Black by guest starring with a top quality character and yet another catchphrase, which we often enjoyed repeating back when "Heeeeeeey Maaaaando!" was still a fresh show.

I use to watch that show all the time. I've never been able to find it streaming anywhere, unfortunately.

It sucks, Apollo was one of the best antagonists in a drama. He was a bit of a prick and egotist but it still didnt sting when he beat rocky. Weathers was always fun to watch in films he had one of those charming personalities.

Really liked him a lot in the Rocky films. Also Predator.

Very unfortunate. Carl Weathers always put in a good performance, and I have actually missed seeing him in movies for the past 2 decades. He's a quality actor and doesn't seem right that he didn't get alot of good parts later in his career. I didn't view him as just an action star with a great body, he also had the acting chops as shown in all his Rocky performances.
