anyone might happen to know what carl was doing between rocky III and the tv movie braker?..

seems a long break in between roles.

Probably made so much money he was able to take a break from acting. If that's true, he's lucky. It's not always easy for actors to just take years off and jump back into work especially a black actor in those days.

it always had me interested how much he did get paid for the rocky roles. but yes you are probably right he was just living off savings. good for him he deserved it for the work he put into the creed character. he would have been offered roles in that time but probably just wanted to enjoy himself.
