Has anyone here ever had a real life encounter with the man himself? In all the roles I've seen him in, he almost always plays an intimidating criminal type, or just a general bad ass... but for some reason, I imagine him to be the complete opposite in real life, because actors can surprise you like that.

There have been a number of comments on this board from people who have met Danny, and from all reports he's the sweetest, friendliest, most totally NOT full-of-himself guy you could hope for. He loves his fans and takes a very tongue-in-cheek attitude about his badass roles. The incident that locked me in as a lifetime fan was his and his wife's involvement in saving a pitbull from the driver and passenger of a pick-up, who had the dog tied on the truck-bed and were beating and jabbing him with a rake. The dog was taken to Tia Torres at Villalobos Pitbull Rescue, and later adopted with the name "Trejo."

I don't think any of the young girls who drool over Danny are kidding themselves about his age. In fantasies, time is flexible. For a man of 70, he's still smokin' hot and still has his unique and very sexual appeal -- a MAN among men, particularly for the legion of women who like bad boys. But his time as a bad guy is ancient history, and apparently he's a sweetheart. God bless him.

He's one of the most genuine celebrities I've ever met, and I've met quite a few. Though, he was much shorter than I expected!
