WTF?!

My 25 year old girlfriend said Danny is sexy. What do girls see in this guy? Do you girls really think he is sexy? If so, I wanna copy it!

reply

Tallpall, it's hard to explain to a man. Danny, at 66, still has a phenomenal body, but his face is a train-wreck. Even so, he is 110% MAN. A lot of us love the bad boys, and all Danny's roles (not counting the Bishop he played on Bones) are bad boys, even Machete in his own way. He was actually good-looking when he was young, before all the jail time and boxing, and still has a beautiful smile (though we rarely see it on film). He is also a totally-reformed good guy, animal-lover, speaker/supporter to anti-drug and gang groups. Reportedly (I've never had the pleasure) he's a total sweetheart to fans, the kind of guy you'd like to have a beer with and just hang. Sexiness is subjective, depending on the lady in question, but your girlfriend is far from alone. I think he's hotter than Hell.

Don't know about your girl, but I also think Danny's hot because of (1) the beautiful, long, silky hair, and (2) the Native American features (and yes, I'm counting Mexico as Native America). This is all about MY personal preferences; don't know how it helps you.

Women only find ugly dudes like this attractive because they're famous.

reply

Just as there are men who love gigantic asses or massive, grotesque implants on women, there are women who like their men lean, mean and "ugly" (by their own utterly subjective measure).

Ask the wife (or in lots of cases, ex-wife) of a professional boxer why she is (or was) with a man who was usually scarred and ugly, frequently abusive, and often sexually unavailable for long periods, in comparison to a scar-free ordinary-looking guy who would be more "there" for her. The answer, 99% of the time, will be "because he's a MAN." They worry about him, but don't want him to stop (and being famous doesn't apply here, since so very few boxers ever become known outside immediate boxing circles). "Ugly" is meaningless anyway. Compared to what? Danny's so scarred that on a hypothetical "1-10" list, he'd be right up there, assuming you're using ordinary European, Judeo-Christian standards of "beauty." But he's sexy as hell, for more reasons than his looks. And, BTW, in tribal Africa and large areas of the Orient and South Pacific, scars are considered BEAUTIFUL and indicative of power and, in some cases, royalty. I remember a line from "The Replacements" when Keanu is giving a final pep talk in the huddle. His first words are "Women dig scars." Speaking for myself and my sisters-in-spirit only, that would be a BIG yes. (And sometimes the stories behind those scars are even hotter.)

When making a broad statement about what women like and why, you should have more evidence than your personal opinion. (I'm assuming you haven't done a survey of hundreds of women to verify your statement.) But I DO know a number of women who are with men you wouldn't want to run into in a dark alley, even if you were packin'. I also know a couple of really hot-looking men who are with women I personally consider butt-ugly. We like what we like, and fame rarely has anything to do with it. Not that fame hurts -- it's just not the only reason. Not by a longshot.

I'm a guy and i don't find Danny to be "sexy" but i don't find him repulsive either.I think he looks fine.He has kind eyes and a kind smile despite his criminal background and he seems like a warm, friendly guy. However i take offence when you say that you and other women are attracted to him because he's a "real man".As though the rest of us normal guys are not "real men" (Whatever the hell that means). You don't need to go to jail or have a "hard life" or be ripped to be called a man.The only thing that makes a man is his character and maturity. And Danny seems to have both.I know it's natural for men to be attracted to large boobs and big butts and it's natural for women to be attracted to the so called "bad guys",it's biology. But calling such men real men is offensive,it's like calling a slutty woman,a "real woman" or even calling a particular type of woman a "real woman",which is offensive and kind of close minded.

reply

I never said "real man." What I said was a direct quote from a talk show with a bunch of boxers' wives, including the famous Vicki LaMotta and the wives of Sugar Ray Robinson and several other big-name boxers. When asked "why?" by the moderator, at least three of them said, in unison, "because he's a MAN."

He's macho. Projects all-around strength, can definitely protect loved ones-pets included, his property and himself. Has a knowing, serene, good but at times cautious spirit, is worldly but down to Earth.
He looks fine in shorter hair, but I like his long hair also.
Some chicks do think scars are sexy-his are, and he is definitely sexy, I always thought he was handsome.
He is a great actor in my book, first saw him in Walker Texas Ranger-he's in two episodes. I wish he and the actress who played his wife, Melinda Renna, would have had a spinoff, she's a fine actres as well.
His Marcia Brady spoofs are hysterical...

reply

OMG....I LOVE the Marcia Brady commercial....lol....I love Steve Buscemi, too....they are both so awesome.

I wouldn't say he is particularly attractive, he's pretty old....although Sam Elliot is kind of a GILF.

But he is not really unattractive, either, and he has so much....charisma, I guess....or something.

And he is so damn funny.

I just love him. He seems like he would be a fun person.

If I was 65, I might go there. Just because he is so cool.
