Is Nancy being punished for something?

Why has she been playing second banana to men whom she is better than, acting wise. She has beacoup movies to her credit and once had her own sitcom, which she should again.

That Bill Engvall show is lucky to have her, where one would expect a Mary Page Keller type (not even Mary Page Keller, but a type), they get a name actor with a long list of credits. They must really be coming up with the bucks for her to accept these lowbrow projects.

This is a little off-topic, but I can't understand how 'The Bill Engvall Show" landed such a good supporting cast. I would expect Nancy Travis, Steve "Bania" Hytner, and Tim Meadows to be on a bona fide, quality, network sitcom -- not a show with Bill Engvall airing on WTBS.

I agree that The Bill Engvall Show is lucky to have Nancy on board. She is a great Actress and a very nice person.

I wouldn't be too quick to knock The Bill Engvall Show, however.

My guess is that Nancy, Steve Hytner and Tim Meadows signed on to the show because they believed in those behind the show. If you look at who is working on this show, you will find some pretty talented people:

Mike Leeson, head writer and executive producer, created The Cosby Show and worked on The Mary Tyler Moore Show, All in the Family, The Odd Couple, Happy Days, Rhoda and Taxi. Other writers on the staff have worked for Everybody Loves Raymond, Cheers, Frasier, Friends, Roseanne, Hope and Faith and 8 Simple Rules.

James Widdoes, the Director, has Directed more than 300 TV episodes including King of Queens, 'til Death, 8 Simple Rules, According to Jim, Two and a Half Men and My Wife and Kids.

And Bill Engvall is a nice guy and pretty successful comedian.

I think the Show will do fine and Nancy, Steve and Tim will contribute greatly to that success. In the end, I'm sure that all three of them will be happy to be part of that show!

Like I've said in previous posts, I think she's past her prime now and notoriously, it's very difficult for older actresses to get work in, youth obsessed, Hollywood.

And I have to admit, though she is beautiful now, I think she was not so much in her younger days.

Yes, for aging past 30 - 36 years.
