Big Hollywood Secret: JTT is FTM Trans

The primary reason for JTT's disappearance from the mainstream spotlight, with limited exceptions, is one of Hollywood's most brazen secrets: former Disney, family-friendly "Home Improvement" childhood actor and 1990s youth heartthrob JTT is actually female-to-male transgender.

Something far more extreme than the mere gay rumors over the years, but something that should have been obvious to careful observers.

Never having undergone bottom surgery, but rather male hormone regimens, estrogen suppressors (limited to no breast development as a result; but see 2021 sightings, not "dad bod" gynecomastia or simple obesity, but the product of years of no longer adhering to the intensive cocktail of hormone replacement therapies), steroids and creatine supplements, weight-lifting, minor plastic surgeries, allowing some body hair growth, selective wardrobe and inventive camera angles - all to maintain a trim male image and physique - proved to be challenging after the "teen" roles began to dry up circa 2001/2002.

It all culminated in the big shirtless, muscled up reveal in 2000's "Common Ground", but the unnatural demands were too burdensome for a fragile psyche with an unsettling secret.

JTT has been languishing with identity issues and mental health struggles for over twenty years now. Much of this was driven by the very parents who encouraged and promoted (and capitalized on) JTT's FTM lifestyle in the first place.

Older, with minimally enough in the bank from the 1990s never to have to worry about working again (residuals), and without roles promising the hundreds-of-thousands-of-dollars-per-episode incentive to justify fastidiously maintaining this convincing facade, JTT receded into an unusually silent anonymity, one equally as unusually protected by the TMZ crowd all of these years.
