Yes, if it was any other director I would be okay with this film. But Tarantino is a sensationalist and I strongly doubt he's going to give this horrific event the sensitivity it actually deserves.
Couldn't have said it better myself. Tarantino is sick. Not only are his movies sick, but even the movies he produces. He has the nerve to put his name on the sick, vile, crazy, depraved, disgusting movies that degenerate Eli Roth has made. That alone says something.
Joanna Pettet did look like her. What an uncanny resemblance. I wish they would've got someone better than Margot Robbie. To me, she's not a good choice. She doesn't do the role justice. She doesn't look like her or come across as her. And like I said, there's no comparison. Sharon Tate is miles above her. I hope, for once, Tarantino shows some class and some sensitivity and doesn't show her murder in graphic fashion. For everyone's sake.
You're absolutely right about Trent Reznor. He should be ashamed. I'm glad Sharon's sister gave him a piece of her mind. She said, "Are you exploiting my sister's death by living in her house?" He said he went home and cried that night. I read somewhere that Rob Zombie has some kind of obsession with the The Tate-Labianca Murders. What is wrong with these guys?

They seem to have a really dark obsession rather than one coming from pure compassion. I think that type of person is disconnected from the human tragedy and more turning it into just another horror movie in their minds, forgetting that it's for real.
I'm glad too at how Sharon's sister said that to Reznor. It must have been like a total reality-check slap in the face, to actually meet one of Sharon's nearest and dearest and get that impact of how this was a real person who was killed in a horrible act of human cruelty. He claims that he did not know the history of the house but I've NEVER believed that claim. Everyone in LA knew that house and what happened there, and the address, etc etc.
I imagine that before this Reznor kind of thought it was all just a bit of macabre fun and would somehow assist the dark vibe of his music. It gives me shivers if I happen to hear anything from that album now, just knowing it was recorded in the living room with deliberate intent. I know people would say that is silly, but I kind of believe in energy left behind and by the same token he probably did too and recorded that album for the sickness of that, I kind of don't like hearing it for the same token.

We're definitely on the same page. I agree with everything you just said. I too, won't listen to that album knowing where he recorded it. It's like going to Nicole Brown's house and recording music where she was murdered with Ron Goldman. Or it's like going to the top of the Texas observatory tower with a guitar and writing songs from where Charles Whitman, the Texas Sniper, shot everyone from.
