Why does he always play an a-hole?

One of the reasons why I could not watch Arrested Development was because he was played his typical a-hole, annoying, jerkwad of a character....and he was the most NORMAL person on that show. Pretty much every role he has he plays a pain in the ass, even going back to the earliest roles of his I can remember: Taxi, Three's Company, MASH. I am currently watching his Season 17 appearance on Law & Order where he plays a judge, and true to form, he's a pain in the ass d-bag. He can't play anything else?????

Typecasting. Fortunately, he does not play an *beep* in the most celebrated performance of his career on Transparent.

He was not a jerk on taxi. HE was nice awkward loser but good guy.

He's a character actor. Christopher Walken and Kevin Spacey play the same role in pretty much every movie, I don't see you complaining about that. He's one of the funniest characters on AD as well, so you're missing out, bub.

Wendy? Darling? Light, of my life!
