The return of Picard in Star Trek TV series (2017)...

Even though the last couple of TNG movies were disappointments at the box office and with most of the fans, the TNG series, the first two films, and the characters themselves remain very popular within the Star Trek fandom.

Just a hunch, but I bet the new Star Trek series set to start in 2017 will be like a passing of the torch scenario with most TNG characters returning in guest star roles. If they set the 2017 series about 10-15 years after Nemesis, we could see a much better conclusion to the main TNG characters than Nemesis had. Actually, 2017 will be the 30th anniversary of TNG, so why not even bring some of them back for the pilot of the 2017 show.
