Does he have some scottish descent?

There are times when he sounds very scottish to me, I'm consistently picking up tones in his accent from scottish dialect and it's confusing me lol. Has he any scots in his blood line?

reply

He is from the north of England, there is some cross over of the accents.

reply

Ah, that makes sense. Thank you :)

reply

He's from Yorkshire. No Scottish accent in there, I'm afraid. ;-)

reply

He doesn't even sound like he's from Yorkshire, he got rid of that accent a long time ago. Being from the North of England he may still use certain words/phrases that are very common in Scotland.

reply

Nope, agreed, he doesn't even have much hint of a Yorkshire accent. He's basically got a general 'British' accent, if there is such a thing. Leaning toward no particular region. I don't think he has any Scottish in his accent though. ;-)

Well, the last name "Stewart" is common in Scotland. There was even the royal House of Stuart (once spelled Stewart).

reply

I do believe his is in a direct line of descent from Phil McCracken, the famed Scottish psychotherapist.
