I just bought a DVD set of his performance in "North and South" from 1975 and he had a full gorgeous head of hair. However I couldn't help but wonder if it was a wig because I've never seen him with his own hair before. I've always seen him wearing wigs.
However this performance has confused me because the hair looks like it really belongs to him.
Does anyone know when he began balding? As he was bald 12 years later in Star Trek TNG's pilot.
It was a wig. I remember watching an interview where he said he'd lost almost all of his hair by the time he was 19.
shareI have seen pictures when he was losing his hair this is a picture of him when he was 10 he had a full head of hair back than that was long before he has lost hair.

Pat Stewart lost his hair by his early 20's I believe. That's why he has looked pretty much the same for the last 40 years.
