I loathed that he tried to turn it around and pretend he did it out of concern for her health. That's one of the things I hate about Howard Stern. Come on, he did it just to mock her. She was fat, ugly and dark skinned and he wanted a piece of the action considering she was an Oscar contender.

He was denouncing the entertainment field by saying that women are forced to be very skinny and it will be difficult for Gabourey to have a career in a toxic and hostile environment unless she loses weight. I don't remember Howard mentioning her health, but it's been many years.
I saw her in an interview once. She is an extremely positive person. That's when I understood that she is someone very special and people are drawn to her because of her personality. I'm not surprised that she was able to prove Stern wrong and have a very successful acting career. But, unfortunately she is an exception instead of the rule in regard to full-figure actresses.

Gabourey developed diabetes 5 years after this show and only then lost weight. He was right about obesity being dangerous.
