I met Ione a few years ago. She was very nice.

This was outside the venue where the band Luscious Jackson was playing (New Jersey - late 1999). She was hanging out with Kate Schellenbach (Luscious drummer) and another woman. I talked to her for a few minutes and didn't even know who she was. I even asked her name and she said "Ione," which should have tipped me off, but it didn't even register! I did notice that the girl had perfect complexion and looked gorgeous without a stitch of makeup. Of course, the next morning when I woke up, it hit me and I realized that she was Ione Skye... which makes sense, as she had been married to Adam of the Beasties and Kate was the original Beasties drummer - a pretty closely knit family.

Anyway, that's my meeting Ione story.
