Why did people call him "Jews"
He lived in an area with many prominent Jewish people. Was this the reason ? It's a very strange nickname.

It came out of his NFL career and in particular his time with the Buffalo Bills during the early 1970's. The Bills had built an offensive line that allowed Simpson to make great use of his talents. The offensive line was known as the Electric Company which turned on the juice (slang for electricity) namely Simpson.
