Why did people call him "Jews"

He lived in an area with many prominent Jewish people. Was this the reason ? It's a very strange nickname.

I think that you are trolling but will answer for those seriously interested in the name. His nickname was/is Juice not jews. It came out of his NFL career and in particular his time with the Buffalo Bills during the early 1970's. The Bills had built an offensive line that allowed Simpson to make great use of his talents. The offensive line was known as the Electric Company which turned on the juice (slang for electricity) namely Simpson.

reply

Uh, no. His name was Oranthal Julius (OJ) Simpson. It's that simple. He was called The Juice before he got to the Bills.

reply

It's ORENTHAL JAMES by the way. And most people were unaware of him before his time with the Bills. Hate him for what he did in terms of murdering two people but he was perhaps the best known sports figure of the 1970's. Boys wore his number 32 on tee shirts in colors that reflected the Bills' red, white, and blue.

reply

Sorry, you are right about his name. I was thinking of Orange Julius, lol.
Sports fans knew who his was. He won the Heisman Trophy. He was the first overall pick in the NFL draft.

reply

"Juice" you know as in OJ.

reply

Haha. Very good. But he murdered Ron Goldman, who was Juice-ish.

reply

As the old joke goes, Hitler never said: "I want to gas the Jews." He said: "I want a glass of juice."

reply

I dunno. I don't think Hitler spoke English.

reply

He knew his numbers, but for some reason, he only knew the number nein.

reply

And he portrayed Nordberg, who had a Juice-ish last name
