Hi Rufus fans. I'm B. from the Joaquin Phoenix fan board. Some of us love Rufus as well as Joaquin and have been talking about him a bit, (all good). Those of us that love Joaquin are nice fans and I think you all have to be nice too because you love another cutie with talent. I'll come by now and then and see what's going on with Rufus because we in the USA don't see him too often. Come on by to our board any time. B.

Hi, Bernice, I'm also a Joaquin fan (as you know, lol). As you've mentioned, we got talking about him on the Joaquin board and we were agreeing how much we both liked Rufus, too. I've been watching the new "Zen" series and hope he's going to do more.
Having seen him in interviews, Rufus seems to be a really nice guy.
This is funny. I didn't expect to see a post by someone I know. I hope we here in the states get to see him in more stuff. He seems to stay with English audiances. I thought he lived in LA. B.

Interestingly I've always thought that at times Rufus and Joaquin both resemble a young Ian McShane. They are all similar "types" with similar colouring and eyes, and soulful faces. Ian even has a bit of a droop in his left eyelid like Rufus does. Here is a photo that illustrates what I mean:

You're right, Ian and Rufus could be father and son. I think they resemble each other more than either of them resembles Joaquin. I think it is those wonderful hooded eyes that make them look so alike. Those are great pictures of Ian McShane in his younger days - actually the second one does look a bit Joaquin-ish!

shareHere's another picture of Ian, from the 1967 BBC version of 'Wuthering Heights', that struck me as similar to Rufus. Strange isn't it how Rufus and Ian look so much alike at times even down to the anomaly of the hooded left eyelid.
