Watched it last night on Masterpiece Mystery. Love it--it started kind of slow but really picked up halfway through. Rufus is lovely on the eyes as always and I do enjoy his performance as well. :)
I haven't read the books--if anyone has and has is watching (watched?) the series, is Rufus playing Zen well?

shareI have seen two episodes of ZEN and I loved them. Unfortunately, I just heard that Masterpiece Mystery has cancelled it. It got good ratings, but is too costly to produce, apparently. What a disappointment.
shareI'd be curious to read where anyone from WGBH said they had cancelled the series. I don't see how they even could cancel it, since they don't make it, but they could have said something about not being willing to help pay for more episodes in the future. Did they?

about how BBC won't be making any more episodes. But note that the article says, "Left Bank...is now in talks with other broadcasters about continuing the series on a new channel." Did someone from WGBH say that they wouldn't participate in any future productions of "Zen"?
I heard that too--that the BBC wouldn't produce it, but perhaps someone else will. Fingers crossed. :)
