Anyone think there is a difference between Chris Rock the kid, and Chris Rock the older man?

I never really realized how much Rock depended on his looks and demeanor when he first started, he was good looking and very charismatic, whereas I have to say he is just as good these days, but he ... I hate to say this but he looks weird. He looks like a hard living homeless guy or something from down by the river! ;-)

Lest I be accused of racism the same is true with Mel Gibson, as he got older he got wizened and gnarled and creepy looking, and now he is way way out there with the bush beard and wrinkles on his wrinkles.

Chris Rock was ALWAYS hideous-looking. I guess you never saw him when he really first started out. I guess what happened is that when he went Hollywood, he got some work done. But the guy was always unattractive.

I agree. Chris used to look sharp with his suits, and he would pace around the staged like he owned it.

When I saw his first special after his divorce, he looked like he was going through a tough time.

His energy level is noticeably lower though.
