When the Avengers girls got an honorary BAFTA back in 2000 I remember Honor referring to Diana as a dear friends of hers . Does anyone know something more about this ?

sharei would say diana rigg, honor blackman etc are all good friends. i read that patrick macnee keeps in constant contact with his Avenger girls. Not sure about Linda Thorson, somehow i don't see Rigg talking to Thorson much at all. But you never know.
shareI know Patrick MacNee calls Linda Thorason "a darling girl",Linda got knocked for her role as Tara King but she later made a very successful career in theatre and was recently on the UK's "Emmerdale".
Honor and Linda are happy to talk about "The Avengers",Diana less so.
Linda will appearing in 'Equus' this year in Richmond, Surrey and maybe on tour too!

shareHaha i see i was referred to. I'm only speculating. I'm starting to understand how it might anger Rigg when one speaks of The Avengers. Actually if i met her thats the last thing i'd ask her about, i'd probably be more intriqued about her future and the offers she has recieved in film.
To be attached to the role of Emma Peel for 40 years and to always been referred back to that despite all the work she has done must be a little trifling. Either way she is a remarkable woman, and i would say she would be good friends with Honor Blackman.
Also i read Joanna Lumley is good friends with Rigg. I very much doubt Lumley speaks much about the New Avengers!
I doubt Joanna would mind...when I met her last year someone ahead of me asked her what was the most glamorous job she ever had and she said OHMSS and she was stood in front of many posters of that film and that was pre-New Avengers.
