I'm pleased for her. I think she must have a new agent what with this and Doctor Who. She's been underused for years.

I think so too! I am a big fan and I have longed to hear of her signing up to something major.

6 years since The Painted Veil... it's time she joined the acclaim Maggie, Judi and Helen receive.

Especially since the actress playing her granddaughter on the show (Margaery) looks so much like her.

She's been busy in the theatre, most recently in Pygmalion with Rupert Everett and Kara Tointon last year in the West End, but she hasn't done TV for some years now. Now she's going to be in Doctor Who and has a role in Game of Thrones, I hope this casting is going to make her familar to a younger generation of viewers.
