MOTHER LOVE

Anyone seen it? BBC drama thriller from 1989/1990. She's magnificent: absolutely terrifying as a woman whose paranoia goes off the scale when she realises her family is deceiving her. She got a Best Actress Bafta for it. A really tense and nerve-wracking story.

I remember it. The scene where she tries to kill her comatose son because she thought he betrayed her is one of the most shocking scenes ever.

I've seen it.
It's magnificent, literally un-forgetabble.

i just finished reading the book by Domini Taylor, its excellent and i could not stop reading it! I've seen the BBC tv series before, and the author seems to have had Diana in mind whilst writing the book!!!

Pity the book never had a major release, i found a copy on ebay for a small price!

I am trying to get signatures together to sign a petition to send to the BBC to issue Mother Love with Diana Rigg on DVD. I started it last week and have only 20 signatures so far which is nowhere near enough. Maybe you would like to join in.

PS: As of today Nov 19th we have 82 signatures - so, thanks to anyone here who signed it!!!!

Kind Regards,

Barry Clarke

If you're in the UK, its just been shown on UK TV Gold and they regularly replay things. Its 4 episodes, andthey were showing one each Sunday last month. Keep an eye out, it'll probably be back.

I saw this when it played all those years ago on the American PBS. Absolutely memorable, and a chilling story. It's one I look for now and again to see if it has been released for purchase. Let's hope we get it soon!
