Sisters Kyle and Kathy, nieces Paris and Nicki?

I have seen photos of Kim's younger sister Kyle with her nieces Paris and Nicki. I have not seen or heard of any association with Kim and the Hilton family. Kathy Richards-Hilton is her older sister. Are they estranged?

She was on The Simple Life the other night, visiting Paris at the camp. I couldn't believe how she looked - really old! Especially around her eyes.
