After seeing Debbie play Liberace's mother, I quite agree. That is definitely Mrs. Edith Beale as an old lady. She would have killed "Jerry Lines My Corn". Carrie could look the part, but I wonder if she could sing it.

lol- of all the grammar butchery on the boards, this is one of the most cringe-worthy.

Well I think with a vocal coach she could of done it on stage. We know for a film she could. They could of auto-tuned her in post production.

HBO is running a "Grey Gardens" type 90 minute program on Carrie and Debbie and their entourage. I started to watch it and then we had a power outage which lasted for over two hours. I hope HBO repeats this show. It covered quite a bit of Hollywood history .. it seems to be well done. I wonder if any of the posters here saw it in it's entirety?

The HBO documentary along the lines of Grey Gardens is called BRIGHT LIGHTS
