I wonder what happened to his daughter, Karen?

I was watching an A&E Biography about him on YouTube and they mentioned towards the end of his life his daughter was staying with him, but then said neither she or his mother went to his funeral, but they didn't say why. He supposedly hadn't talked to his mother for years before his death but he was in contact with his daughter.
