Teri Polo cast in new horror flick

Meet the Parents' Teri Polo is moving from one horror film onto another. The actress recently wrapped work on Two: Thirteen, now she's currently at work mucking about with spooks on The Beacon, a supernatural mystery by Michael Stokes.

She'll join David Rees Snell ("The Shield"), Michael Urie ("Ugly Betty") and genre vet Michael Ironside. Polo and Snell play parents grieving over the death of their 4-year-old son. When they move into the Beacon Apartments, Polo's character begins to see the ghost of a child who fell down the tenement's elevator shaft. She then sets out to save this poor lad's spirit.

Production on the film started this week in Dallas. Stokes' horror credits include Bram Stoker's Shadow Builer and The Marsh.
