June 1st 2008:
A sad day in Baltimore Bob’s life even after seeing the Phillies beat the Florida Marlins
and the Phillies moved back into first place in the National League East division.
Him and brother Andy, Andy’s son Kevin and Bob’s nephew Ray drove over to Oaklyn, NJ.
Baltimore Bob witnessed for the first time that they had torn down Olde Grads lounge
and his favorite ‘Pizza Steak’ restaurant was no more.
Olde Grads was where Baltimore Bob met his All Time favorite gal Marge (born 11/6/1956)
on the night of Wednesday March 15th 1978. When song 109 played on the Juke box.
Olde Grads would close down in the mid to late 1990’s and never reopen.
Leonneti’s was the Italian restaurant that opened early in 1978 just after Baltimore Bob
moved into 43A West Oakland Avenue on Christmas Day 1977.
They first sold the large/½ ‘Pizza Steak’ for $2.20 and had recently costed as much as $6.
I believe I was last there early in 2007 with the 2002 Chevy Impala as this was the first time
that Baltimore Bob’s 2008 Dodge Avenger (purchased in June 2007) was in NJ.
The four of us got four pizzas (one for ½ and one for free) paid for by Ray.
We were there at the new Italian restaurant that served just mostly Pizza for about one hour.
We drove over to Oaklyn over the Walt Whitman bridge and returned to PA on the Ben Franklin
bridge which still costed $3 and arrived back at Andy’s place in Ephrata, PA about 7:30PM.
June 1st 2008: Phils beat Marlins to reclaim first place - By Jim Salisbury, Inquirer Staff Writer.
If one were to poll the season-high crowd of 45,312 (Baltimore Bob, his brother Andy,
Andy's son Kevin and Baltimore Bob's nephew Ray) at Citizens Bank Park yesterday,
some would say that the most important moment in the Phillies' latest win
came when Pat Burrell stroked a tiebreaking, two-run double in the seventh inning.

Celebrity Birthday
