Word. The Joker has always been one of the greatest villains in fiction, and this upcoming movie sounds nothing but intriguing. Origins story, 80’s setting, Scorsese involved? Whew! Joaquin signing on to this is no surprise. I mean, the days top-tier actors would easily pass on comic book roles because they felt they were beneath them are loooong gone (though Marvel deserves most of the credit for changing the way many people look at these types of films, Nolan’s Batman trilogy unquestionably left a big impact). Personally, the thought of seeing Joaquin as this deranged character... which will be inspired by the Killing Joke, meaning he’ll be more multi-dimensional... is goosebumps-inducing.

If he does stay attached to this, then fantastic! So yeah, I can tell you that I’m finally excited for something DC related again.
