Why is anyone surprised by this? Look at any interview he's given in the past 10 years; he was clearly using substances.

I feel sorry for guys like Perry who destroy their lives with drugs, but when someone says "it's a disease" I just have to roll my eyes. He chose to use drugs the first time, and he chose to keep using them until he got addicted. It was a bad decision, not victimhood.
