I know he had drug problems during Friends (Vicodin) and that he went to rehab and then I think there was a relapse. I'm wondering how he's handling this situation these days.

shareI was reading a Friends book and I think Jennifer was actually scared that they were gonna lose him. At least he realised that he had a problem and he needed help. When he was on Studio 60, Matt Albie started taking pain killers and I always wondered how Matthew coped, filming those scenes? Obviously he's sober now, but doing that must have brought back bad memories? He said in an interview that when the episodes come on the telly where he's visibly thin, he doesn't usually watch them because they remmind him of how sad he was during those times.

shareYah, I Was watching a rerun the other night, and I commented to my mom about his weight fluctuations. I had no clue. It's sad.
Is this also the reason why he gained so much weight ? About the 8th season.
