I think it's because the show isn't on one of the major networks that everyone has access to... now that doesn't necessarily stop anything from winning... it just helps if you have that popularity boost of the general public audience....

Of course... any awards show involving the Hollywood Foreign Press Assoc. is semi-rigged anyways... it's all about the pay off so....

I'm particularly happy just seeing Liz get the nomination, and if she can bag something, all the better, she totally deserves it :)

She is great in Weeds - love her character. I'm guessing she hasn't won because the Emmy's don't want to give awards to a drug themed show. The Emmy Awards are crap anyways and only about ratings. The Emmy's would rather give awards to shows like Grey's Anatomy and Desperate Housewives which are top rated but absolute junk.
