That Emmy had her name on it

I agree... And if not her, then Kristen Wiig. Either way, Kristen Chenoweth? Isn't her show cancelled?

Yeah mid season last year. I'm not sure how it even qualified.

Elizabeth Perkins is BRILLIANT on this show. I like Kristen Chenowith, and she was cute on Pushing Daisies but that characterization is nothing compared to Elizabeth's character. She also lost to Megan Mullaly (yawn) in 2006 and Jamie Pressley in 2007 (very funny in that role, but again, nothing as nuanced as Elizabeth Perkins' Celia in Weeds). She wasn't nominated in 2008 (why on earth Jean Smart was nominated, let alone won, that year is beyond me). I hope there's an Emmy and more great roles in Elizabeth's future. She's amazing.

She should have won for Seasons 1 through 3 as Celia on Weeds. She was nominated for Season 4? Her character went very much downhill that season, and even more so in Season 5 - not because of her acting but because of what the writers did with her character. If she was going to win an Emmy it would have been for one of the first three seasons. She won't be returning in Season 6, and even though I loved Celia in Seasons 1 through 3, I think it's best that she be written out completely and them not butcher Celia anymore than they already have.
