Oh, come on Mary! Not YOU!

I didn't realize she'd joined the ranks of the laughably absurd results of plastic surgery!

I'm greatly saddened. I've been a long time MTM fan. How can she do this do herself? While I might have expected she was prone to get a facelift or some moderate work done, I never thought she'd join the extremist pantheon of plastic nightmares like Joan Rivers and so many others.

It can never be understood how these women think that looking like a plastic surgery punch line can be BETTER than just looking naturally a bit older.

I just came across her page today pretty randomly and I remember her from The Dick Van Dyke show. She was so beautiful. But today... I honestly wonder what her face looks like when shes looking serious (I cannot find any pics from the last 5 or so years with her not smiling), I think the damage done is such that her face just automatically goes into a certain stretched semi-smile pose.

She looks ghastly and unable to move her facial muscles at all. Some face work is fine, but when it goes to this extreme, the "celebrity" begins to look like some kind of monster. Her plastic surgeon husband did her no favors.

And I thought Type 1 Diabetics should NEVER have non-elective surgery OF ANY KIND! Look what happened to Totie Fields! They warned her that it would risky for a diabetic to have this kind of surgery. After she did, her circulation was impaired and she had to have a leg amputated. After that she died. Totie died of a face lift!

Not to mention she's had a boob job. A boob job! for christ's sake - in her 70s!!!

Unbelievable - and very disturbing.

- You're wrong. Sorry to ruin the ending for you.

MTM has been on the "worst celebrity plastic surgery" lists for years. Apparently, she's addicted -- just won't stop, and will continue to find unscrupulous surgeons to do more nipping and tucking.

I can't even imagine what she looks like without makeup, but she really is heading into Joan Rivers freak show territory.

I think she passed Joan Rivers freak show territory about two nips and three tucks ago!

She is a hideous looking monster!

I mean I consider myself a fan.... I loved her in her two iconic TV series but My God! Would someone please tell her to stop the frickin madness?!?

You all think you are being hip,and cool for insulting her with lame Joan Rvers comments. You're being jerky.
MTM looks fine; she doesnt' choose to look like an old lady. No wonder Mary is cold to people!

I think the problem with cosmetic surgery is that it only lasts for a certain amount of time, and then has to be redone; apparently if this is not done, it sort of like the face starts melting, so most women decide to keep going. I remember her commenting in her first autobiography, After All, that she did the first surgery in the midst of her slump in getting roles and was insecure enough that she thought it would help, and that she wished she had never done it. I think this was because she now had no choice to keep it up.

As for the implants, I don't know why she got them, but they were taken out about a year later; it may have been during the time of the trouble with those implants that leaked toxic fluids into women's bodies.
