Have you been living under a rock? Diabetic for 47 years. Summer of 2013 had a bad fall broke her hip. While hospitalized got pneumonia nearly died from it, since then dementia set in hasn't been lucid in at least 2 years. Also kidney failure, heart going out on her. Not a well woman at all, she had supposedly released a statement last year after the passing of her ex husband. Turned out to be a statement from her rep.

Yeah she was 80 not 81 yet she would've turned 81 in December.

Obviously she had a bad disease she was fighting for more than half of her life but the bad fall she had took some extra years off her life and dementia.

The thing about Mary was she was blessed to make it to 80 though with her disease so it's not like she died young like Prince last year. I honestly thought we were going to lose Rhoda when she suffered cancer a few years ago before Mary.

She lived a very blessed and important life she accomplished everything that she could've accomplished she's a living legend and institution.
