Classic TV just got a little more classic.
If it wasn't for shows like "Dick Van Dyke" and "Mary Tyler Moore", I'd have nothing to watch. I'm glad these are available, but I'm also sad because today's writers don't hold a candle to the people who created these characters. Maybe someday, but for me, nothing since way before the beginning of the millennium has shined the way these shows do. I just watched "The Nanny" episode where Fran, Maxwell, C.C. and Niles spoofed "The Dick Van Dyke Show" in the finale, having earlier discussed it, ending with Grandma Yette looking in the mirror and thinking that neighbor Millie was looking back. So I'll stick with my "Mary" and "Phyllis" and "Rhoda" and "Lou Grant" and TV viewers can keep....wait, I don't know any of the current show's names, and I really don't care to.
