Southern gal at heart!

Although Born in Brooklyn and raised in CA, I always got a feeling she was a Southern belle at heart. Something in her voice. Something in her smile. She reminds me a lot of my dear old departed mother. MTM was the Queen of Winchester Virginia's Apple Blosom Parade back in 1993. So I wasn't surprised that on her Daddy's side is all from the Shenandoah Valley area of Virginia and she is a directly descended of a Confederate Officer . She has that sweetness about her. Great lady. And a conservative in Hollyweird!

Its probably her Virginian heritage on her dad's side. She is a descendant of a Confederate officer.

Her paternal great-grandfather, Lieutenant Colonel Lewis Tilghman Moore.

And a conservative in Hollyweird! You're right! Come to think of it, she does have that sweetness about her. So glad to find another true southern girl – my lineage also goes back to Confederates. In good company, I see :-) rest in peace to the beautiful, lovely Mary Tyler Moore!
