Any one ever meet her?

I met her at a book signing in Haverford,Pa in 1997.
If you bought the book she signed it and had a little chat with you.
I found her to be a woman of true elegance.
She said I looked like actor Judge Reinhold ( I don't see it)
I thought she was extremely hot as Laura Petrie.
I thought she was sexy as Mary Richards.
Just true class.

I got to meet her at my school, Columbia College in Chicago. She was nice enough to sign her book for me and shake my hand. She had the best smile, and she was very warm and friendly. I met her in early 2005. For the rest of the year, I had good luck. I think meeting her was part of that.

That's awesome. I'm only 13, so I've never met her, but I'd like to. I watch "The Dick Van Dyke Show" every day and I love "Thoroughly Modern Millie". I'm not her #1 fan or anything, but it would be a really great experience.

She was my #1 hero when I was very young - 5 or 6... maybe 7. I can recall sneaking staying up "late" at night to watch The Mary Tyler Moore Show reruns on TV Land. I just thought she was so cool- smart, pretty, funny, etc. and she became the role model for what kind of actress I wanted to be. I had practically forgotten about her for a long period of time now that my heroes changed to Audrey Hepburn and Tina Fey. However, I came across her autobiography in the library about a month ago, checked it out, and immediatly was reminded of how much I admired her as a kid. I hope very much to be able to meet her, if not work with her, some day.

"After All" and it was written/published in I think 1996 or so. It's very personal and candid.

I never met her but during my first trip to NYC we walked past each other on a sidewalk. I was on my way back to my hotel and she was on her way back to her apartment. I almost didn't recognize her because she seems much thinner in person but I recognized her voice and her face. She was walking with another woman and they were talking.

OMG! That is so interesting. You are very lucky. Was she trying to be disguised or anything? It's too bad that she is thinner in person. She already looks like deathly skin-and-bones on tv. You should've waved. Not interrupt and ask for an autograph, but just wave or smile. Where was your hotel?

God, what would I give to meet her. . .
